Don't be Fearful

I was totally freaked out yesterday. I had a minor car incident and I was freaking out because I recently got my license.  To my surprise my dad wasn't so mad, but, as expected my mom was weird about it and found every possible way to make me feel worse than I had already felt.

Yesterday taught me a lesson of integrity. Many people tend to lie and see things so minor when in fact they are major events in their lives. On more than one occasion yesterday, I was told that I should have just left the other car since the damages were very minor. However, I felt that that would have been the wrong thing to do and that I would have been very dishonest.

So I had posed this question to my dad. "How would you have felt if I had shown up with our vehicle dented and I had said that I did a 'hit-and-run'?" He slowly pondered on what I was saying and he then understood why it was that I had done what I did.

My friend once said to me that, "the evil you do,  will surely follow you." I would really like for good to follow me and definitely not some evil stuff. As human beings, we must be mindful of the things we say and do. What comes out of our mouths and the actions that we portray are very important in how our future pans out.

  1. Love this post.
Indeed, the evil you do will surely follow you. I'm glad that you were honest and sincere about the situation. Something like honesty is a scarce trait found in humanity however it is something you depicted in abundance that day an everyday I'd like to think :)
Only now being introduced to your blog's and I'm loving them already. Keep it up.
