School?
When I was younger, I always thought that school was a horrible place, that school was a waste of time. I was of the belief that my childhood was meant to be full of play-time, play, play, play. Sigh, sadly that is not the case, I did three years of pre-school, seven years of primary school, five years of high school and 3 years of college. That surmounts to 18 years of my life in a classroom. Really!!
So what have I learnt? What have these 18 years taught me?
That after all that school, homework and assignments, it almost makes no sense. I've never had to use Pythagoras theorem or all those equations for quadratics or functions. It's like i stored all this info for nothing. Just a storage unit, forgotten by the world.
Don't get me wrong. School is important, he application to everyday life from subjects such as Science, HFLE and maybe, maybe some basic Math has proven quite useful. Education is now a privileged. Being uneducated renders you rather ignorant to some of the simple things in life. You also find it hard to accept change and be innovative in life.
If you are reading this and you're a student, don't slack around, don't think that life will just be a breeze and that you'll wing it. Be proactive and study!
